We are so very proud to be working with the Scott Helping Children Foundation. The children are really connecting with LoveLocks. They are learning service, acceptance and personal commitment. Participating schools has been given a “Lovescape” for the children to attach their custom engraved Lovelock.

LoveLocks “NEWEST” family member…we have named him “Francis” this ol’boy has a lot of LoveLocks promotional events in his future. We can’t wait to start the restoration on this BIG project. We will keep you updated on our progress.

An unsuspected surprise in Paris was the making of romantic day to remember…Emil ordered a LoveLock as a surprise for his favorite lady…they locked it on the fence of Pont des Arts above Paris Seine river. He had their Lovelock custom engraved with a very special message. I wish we could visit all the places around the world where our LoveLocks have been locked by lovers, friends and families. Thanks Emil for the photos…we LOVE them!

LoveLocks on the Charles Bridge in Prague

Came across this blog and found some new an interesting photos I had never seen before and wanted to share…

History: Charles Bridge is Prague’s oldest bridge. Its foundation stone was laid by Charles IV as part of a ceremony held on 9 July 1357 and the construction stretched almost for the rest of the 14th century. In 1378, Charles’ remains were taken across the new bridge to Prague Castle to be buried in St. Vitus’ Cathedral.

There are many places around the world where you will find a collection of Love Locks. Paris also has one but I didn’t get a picture of that one (because I’m a bad blogger, bad, bad blogger). In Prague it can be found at the Charles Bridge.

THE CHAIR – Heirloom

LoveLocks, Inc. is participating in THE CHAIR-ity auction for the Foster Children Foundation. People will be designing or recreating a chair and then it will go up for auction in April. We designed and built our from scratch using scrap wood, vintage trunk hardware and a whole lot of imagination. Along the bottom there are plenty of Love Locks so when family members or guests celebrate a special occasion they can engrave a personal message to be remembered. We wanted it to resemble a vintage steamer trunk. So here it is in the making to the finish. We have had such a great response to this chair we will be offering it on our website for sale…custom orders and as is Unique Heirloom Chairs.

Bendora Wedding Gallery is an innovative wedding boutique that specializes in offering everything you need for a wedding under one roof. They are a planning boutique, bridal gown shop, inspiration and vendor research library and wedding chapel in one! They will be adding LoveLocks to their library of inspirations. Couples will now have the opportunity to personally engrave a LoveLock in Ohio. Congrats!

Culture: Love Padlocks

I just love this post about the culture behind the LOVE Padlocks. The photography and information says it all. Couples, friends and families have been locking the love with custom engraved LOVE padlocks to symbolize their LOVE for some time now. The true history of love locks is unknown. Some believe it originated in China and others say that this practice evolved from a work of the Italian novelist Fredericco Moccia who, in his book Ho voglia di ti, describes how a couple attach a lock to the third lamp post to Rome’s Milvio Bridge. Others believe that it could be a modification of practice by Italian military academy graduates. The young Italians in Florence attach the locks from their military lockers to bridges as a symbol of their newly attained freedom.
