Tokens of love have sealed a five-figure sum for Scotland’s busiest inshore lifeboat. Following fundraising efforts during last year’s Forth Bridges Festival, the Forth Estuary Transport Authority has donated £10,378.60 to the RNLI Queensferry Lifeboat Station. The money was raised from the festival’s Lovelocks initiative, where couples were invited to place an engraved padlock on the Forth Road Bridge, with a portion of the cost donated to charity. Hundreds upon hundreds of people took part, making a public display of their affection and showing exactly who held the key to their hearts.
We are very proud of the work and efforts of LoveLocks UK. Job well done!
